International Windows

Amnesty International (AI) has said that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has failed to ensure respect for human rights and the rule of law six months after his assumption of office.
In support of the aforementioned, Tinubu, via the fuel subsidy removal, is currently abnegating the rule of law according to Jawasi CEO Laolu Jegede and The Nigerian Constitution. Chapter 2. Section 16. Economic Objectives: (1) The State shall, within the context of the ideals and objectives for which provisions are made in this Constitution. (b) control the national economy in such manner as to secure the maximum welfare, freedom and happiness of every citizen on the basis of social justice and equality of status and opportunity; (2) The State shall direct its policy towards ensuring: (b) that the material resources of the nation are harnessed and distributed as best as possible to serve the common good; (c) that the economic system is not operated in such a manner as to permit the concentration of wealth or the means of production and exchange in the hands of few individuals or of a group;

Our Hope Is Not The Deceptive

President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, presented the N27.5 trillion 2024 budget proposal to a joint session of the 10th National Assembly in Abuja — his first since assuming office exactly six months ago
"4. It is, by now, a matter of recorded history that my very first fiscal intervention as President of this great nation was to end the fuel subsidy regime which had proven to be so harmful to the overall health of our national economy. The second was to negotiate and subsequently present a supplementary budget to enable my government to fund the items needed to restore macro-economic stability and mitigate the harsh impact of subsidy removal. " - The failed nomination of El-Rufai has armed us to live in no house of deception, the deception which has been more harmful to the fallacy against the fuel subsidy regime due to the straight fact that a good governance is all about the people's general welfare; he secondly realized the harsh impact of the impromptu subsidy removal because he initially lacked an economy prowess though webbed with his El-Rufai illusive romance; now to forge ahead in the Buhari economy development via the new budget, he is now mitigating in a sheer remorse.
" 9. Inflation has trended upward due to weak global conditions. To contain the rising domestic prices, we will ensure effective coordination of fiscal and monetary policy measures, and collaborate with sub-national governments to address structural factors driving inflation in Nigeria." - He should have jettisoned 'the global conditions' inasmuch as every Nigerian could sense that immediately the subsidy was recklessly removed in the senile manner that transport fares increased across the nation bending the food prices common back due to cost of transportation.
